We have come to rely on power steering in our vehicles. Of course, your grandparents remember a time when power steering didn’t exist. In fact, for a number of years it was an option you could pay extra to get on your new car. Naturally, antique cars are hard to drive, especially when parking or going around corners. Obviously, if you have any trouble steering your vehicle, bring it to our Hollywood auto repair shop. Sometimes the problem can be as simple as needing a little steering fluid.
Maintaining your car’s power steering system is very important. Of course, if you do not maintain it properly, it can fail and you could end up having a more serious repair. For that reason, we always recommend sticking with the scheduled maintenance in your owner’s manual. When you bring your vehicle to Jumbo auto repair, we check the steering fluid. Of course, we never want it to run dry as that can damage the steering fluid pump.
We also check to make sure that there aren’t any leaks in the hoses. Obviously, a leak in a hose can cause the power steering system to fail.
